Rooted in Trust. Built for Real Life

I built Twisted Wire Bookkeeping from the ground up, not just as a business, but as a way to serve people like me: hardworking, juggling a lot, and doing their best to build something solid. I offer more than clean books. I offer steady support that fits your pace, respects your time, and helps you breathe a little easier at the end of the day. This is personal for me, and every client I take on gets that same level of care.

Hi, I’m Meghan, founder of Twisted Wire Bookkeeping. I built this to serve real folks like you.

Why I Started Twisted Wire

My story’s a little rugged, a little relentless, and a whole lot real. This isn’t just what I do, it’s the life I’ve built, one step at a time.

Helping people has always been at the heart of who I am. I spent years in healthcare, showing up on the tough days and learning just how much trust, steadiness, and clear communication really matter.

But after enough long shifts and hard seasons, I found myself wanting something different, something closer to home. I wanted to create a life that worked around my family, my values, and the kind of support I believe every person deserves.

That’s when I went back to school full-time for business and accounting, with kids to raise, meals to make, and a deep-down determination to build something of my own. I’ve always had a builder’s heart, but Twisted Wire Bookkeeping is the first thing I’ve built that truly feels like mine.

I saw too many hardworking folks trying to run their business without the support they deserved, piecing things together, second-guessing, or getting overlooked by bigger firms. I knew there had to be a better way. As I studied, I realized that good business isn’t just about numbers. It’s about relationships. It's about designing systems that create clarity, not confusion, and making things simpler for the people doing the real work.

Twisted Wire grew from that belief. It’s where my passion for helping people met my love of creating structure and calm. I don’t just do books, I build trust. I bring order to the chaos. And I make sure my clients feel seen, supported, and a little steadier in the life they’re building.

This is personal for me. And that’s exactly how I treat it.

The Twisted Wire Approach

Bookkeeping should feel steady. Like something you can lean on, even when the rest of life gets busy.

When you work with Twisted Wire, you’re not getting a one-size-fits-all system. You’re getting me, someone who shows up, gets to know your business, and builds around how you actually work. Whether you’re ranching, welding, cutting hair, or running a side hustle from the kitchen table, I keep things simple, personal, and tailored to your pace.

You’ve got enough on your plate already. My job is to make sure your books aren’t one more thing weighing you down.

What You Can Expect

Straightforward Communication

You’ll always know what’s happening, what I need from you, and what’s next. I don’t believe in fine print or guesswork.

Systems That Work for You

I use clear, secure tools, shared folders, client portals, monthly check-ins to keep everything organized and stress-free.

Support That Fits Your Business

I take the time to learn how you run things, and I build a workflow that works with your life, not against it.

Flexibility as You Grow

Whether you're just starting out or building something big, I’ll be right there, helping you stay grounded and ready for what’s next.

Steady work, simple systems, and someone who’s right there when you need them.

Experience That Matters

I bring a mix of real-world experience, formal education, and the kind of follow-through you only learn by doing the work.

I didn’t start this journey with a business plan and a team behind me. I started it with a notebook full of goals, a deep love for helping people, and the grit to figure it out one step at a time.

Before bookkeeping, I worked in healthcare, where I learned how much trust and follow-through matter. That background taught me how to stay calm under pressure, pay attention to the details, and show up when it counts.

Now I’m wrapping up my accounting degree through Black Hills State University and putting everything I’ve learned into practice, building systems that work, organizing messy books, and helping small business owners get the clarity they deserve.

I’ve worked with real businesses in real life, handling day-to-day bookkeeping, payroll, sales tax filings, reconciliations, and more. If I haven’t done it yet, I’ll learn it, because that’s how I’ve done this all along.
